To prepare garage floors for painting the floors have to be cleaned with a compound such as TSP and washed properly. The trick is to let the floors dry completely before painting them. Let it stay for no more than twenty-four hours. Condensation on the plastic will mean it still has moisture inside. Dry plastic, however, will mean it is ready for next step - painting.

Application should be done with a high quality roller. Temperature should not be less than 10 degrees or more than 20 degrees. Ideally, it is best to let the paint cure before using the floors. For oil paints curing time is usually more than latex applications.
